The Radio Shack TRS-80 Color
Computer (also called Tandy Color Computer, or CoCo) was a home
computer launched in 1980. Despite the name, the "Color
Computer" was a radical departure from earlier TRS-80 Models -
in particular it had a Motorola 6809E processor, rather than the
TRS-80's Zilog Z80.
Every professional needs the
very latest news that affects his business. This
photo, from a Radio Shack computer brochure, depicts the
diversity of the TRS-80 Model III microcomputer system by
showing a farmer (notice the barn and silo outside the window)
using it to run Radio Shack's exclusive TRS-80 Videotex program.

Did you
know?
Back in the early to mid 80s, you could sign-up to attend Radio
Shack Computer Camp. Geared towards kids 8 to 15, the
Radio Shack Computer Camps in Canada gave kids hands on
experience with the TRS-80 Color Computer learning BASIC
computer programming. These classes were offered at Radio
Shack locations in Montreal and across Canada. The 2
hr/day, 5-day
class was a bargain at $49.95 to $59.95 (depending on location). See this and
other Radio Shack Computer Camp ads.
