Radio Shack TRS-80 Computer
The TRS-80 ("T" for Tandy, "RS" for
RadioShack, "80" for the Z-80 Zilog
microprocessor) Model 1 computer
was developed for less than $150,000
(including tooling costs). Initial sales
were optimistically projected to be
1000 units.
Who would have thought
that sales of the Model 1 would quickly
grow to 250,000 units? Click the link to

a Radio Shack catalog in 1977. |
